Hello. Short and simple this week. I ended up being transferred. I will be spending my last transfer of my mission here in Santa Cruz, Zambales. Back to the roots ( I was trained in Zambales). I have now worked my way around the entire mission, going from central Zambales, Pampanga, Bataan (furthest south of my mission) and now straight up to the furthest north tip of the mission. It is BEAUTIFUL up here, my area is RIGHT on the beach, LOVE IT. However with the beach comes sand and HEAT. haha can't complain though, it is beautiful here.
Some fun facts for the week:
-New companion: Sister Raguilab, she has almost been in the mission for 6 months now, and we were in Orani Zone together two transfers ago. She is the NICEST person of my entire life, she offers to help me do my laundry, always cooks, and is just a smiling face. She walks really fast and wants to learn everything she can from me before I leave. The area is not progressing whatsoever, but we take it as a challenge. We are going to walk our little butts off and get this place turned inside out these next six weeks.
-The twins are reunited!!! My anak (trainee) sister Rowley and I are housemates! Such a blast. We got to start her mission together and end mine together. The branch can't get over how much we look alike. We just smile and nod.
-Our apartment number is 249..."Called to Serve" in the hymn book, cute. haha
-All four of us sisters: S. Raguilab, me, S. Rowley, and S. Hausia have birthdays in July. Hence, we all get along VERY WELL.
-S. Rowley is now my STL, what a change in events, we are having a blast and looking forward to exchanges!
I'm having culture shock all over again as the people live in lot humbler circumstances up here in the North. However, they are also very receptive to the gospel. We saw some tender mercies in the work this week and are very excited about a family we found this week. The Mendoza family, Sister Carmen was baptized back when she was a youth with her older sister and mom. For one reason or another she fell away from the church, but she still believes the church to be true and misses it tons. Her husband is an angel, soo nice, however had a little bit of an accident a few months ago and is unable to walk. They are open to us sharing with them and we are hoping with the help of Heavenly Father, lots of prayers, and blessings to get sister returned and active again and get her cute little family baptized. She has three little girls, Haicel Joy, 11; Daniella, 14; and Geremy, 6.
I am currently in Manila with my batch, we are getting our Visa's all worked out and in place for our trip home..still don't believe it's all actually happening. We ran into a huge batch of missionaries doing the same thing from the Ilo-Ilo mission. It was fun to chat with some other foreigners, always a blast meeting other missionaries.
The church is STILL true, I still LOVE my mission, and cannot believe it's already the second week of November! Happy birthday shout outs to all you November birthdays, especially to Megs on the 10th, Alex and Elder Swaney on the 11th, and daddy on the 12th! Have a good one, love you all!
