We ran into some technical difficulties for our Skype session with Sister Pilkington. Our internet decided to not work at 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Tony frantically worked with technical support to remedy the situation but to no avail…we did not have internet for our Skype session with Sister Pilkington at 8 p.m. that evening. We are thankful to our friends, Ken and Jessica Ellsworth that allowed us to crash their place and talk to Chelsea on a much smaller screen than we had imagined (Tony's iPad). But it was GLORIOUS! Tears flowed freely at first and then our conversations took over and we enjoyed sharing stories and getting answers to crazy questions in our Christmas Skype time with Chelsea. Love, love, love this girl and miss her so very much. This is her first Christmas away from us and it has been very difficult. But we know she is where the Lord would have her for this year as she spreads the Gospel of our Saviour, Jesus Christ to the people in the Philippines. Our inconvenience of going to a neighbor's home to Skype her is not really that big of a sacrifice when I considered 2000+ years ago, the virgin Mary was unable to be in her own home for the birth of her first babe. Life is crazy, we are not perfect but through Him, our Saviour Jesus Christ, we can be made whole as we embrace His teachings and the infinite gift of the atonement.
