And another week bites the dust.

Hello fam,

shout out to Auntie Tricia for the best package ever!  you know me well ;) thank you! mea and my housemates enjoyed it!  

crazy busy week this week. don't even know where to start, so ill just jump right into it.

 

Sunrise!

Alma & Milagros Ocampo, Alma is Milagros' daughter. (they are the mother and sister of Arnold Ocampo, I talked about him and his wife Leslie last week). They were baptized back in the 80's and haven't been to church in over 20 years. Alma used to proselyte with Sister Gemma back when she served here. Gemma referred us to them and we all worked together to get this family coming back to church. Alma has 6 kids, none of which are baptized, she also has some nieces that haven't been baptized as well. Alma and Milagros told us they want those kids to be baptized, we smiled and said we do too, but you have got to start coming to church first. (we aren't going to baptized a bunch of kids with inactive parents, otherwise they would just go inactive too.) Well Mandama Ward was shocked and happy when they saw the Ocampo family walk through those glass doors Sunday morning. It was a special day. We are having a family home evening with them later this afternoon and are going to continue working with them in hopes to get them back and active.

Darwin is a new investigator,24 years old, referral of Sister Gemma. He is awesome. We have only taught him twice, he has tons of questions, and came to church on Sunday! Stud. The YSA all asked when he was going to be baptized, he said i'll ask the sisters. Needless to say we will be goaling him to be baptized this September. Just have a few qinks to work out and he will be good to go. Golden.

Sanchez Family--Nancy (our recent convert in July) is doing awesome, her husband works in Manila and only comes home every two weeks, so we referred him to the missionaries in Manila mission. They were able to contact him and took him to church with them last Sunday. Hoping they can work their magic and get him ready for baptism. Their two adorable twins, Jenny and Jo Ann are solid and ready for their baptism this Saturday. Sunday is their birthday so they are very excited for this weekend.

Llego Family--no not Fritz and Tet, their cousins! They happen to be the next door neighbor of sister Gemma, she referred us to them last Sunday. We had an AMAZING lesson with them yesterday evening, sister opened up to us about her life, and they both so badly want to know the truth. They, like Joseph Smith, did a lot of searching in other churches and said they just haven't found it yet. We are super excited for them to come to church this Sunday and to keep working with them. Please keep them in your prayers. They have two little boys and a little girl, their oldest son is 8 so he could be baptized with them. I have a feeling this family is the one. Brother joined us playing basketball this morning, I schooled him. But we have an awesome relationship with their fam and are super excited to see what miracles can happen this September.

New housemates at church

We are looking at an awesome month this September. Lots of potentials that we are working with, as many as 10 baptisms could happen this September. But this is His work, not ours, we are just the instruments. So we will do what He prompts us to do, and leave the rest up to Him.

I love this work, I cannot believe it's already the -ber months next week! That means the Christmas lights and jingle bells are coming out next Monday. Christmas starts early on this side of the world. Have a great week everyone. And to all those members, if you didn't notice, all three of those investigators above were referrals from Sister Gemma-referrals are KEY to missionary work. We can't do this work without you. So go work with the missionaries and introduce them to your friends. I promise you won't regret it. Love you all have a good week.
